What did you do this past week?

This past week I spent a majority of my time doing a lot of homework. My Chinese teacher gives us too much of it that I have to take 3–4 hours a day just to finish it. I have also been practicing for an online coding assessment for Facebook, which I finished today.

What’s in your way?

Like I said, Chinese is too much for me that I have to stay up late around 2AM–3AM just to do the homework of the other classes. I also did my online coding assessment for Facebook, but am really stressed out because I did not do too well. Did 2 out of 4 questions, and for the other 2, I finished typing them but did not have enough time to fix them.

What will you do next week?

Going to spend too much time doing homework, and also practice on LeetCode for a technical interview I’m supposed to have in 2 weeks.

What was your experience of exceptions, IDB1, and types? (this question will vary, week to week)

I have actually not used exceptions in my code so it was really cool about learning about them. Seeing how types work in python compared to java was useful. I’m very nervous to start IDB1, mostly because I don’t know anything about web development, and REACT sounds very difficult and time consuming.

What made you happy this week?

Getting 7 hours of sleep last night. It was the most sleep I have had this week. My parents also came to visit me, but just to fill up my fridge with food and clean my whole place.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip-of-the-week is to contact your team members for the project. This might be some topics from the project that you may not know about, so it would be great to talk to your team members for help and advice.
