I was born in Mexico but my family moved to Texas when I was 2 years old. We first lived in San Antonio for a couple of months, then moved further south to Hidalgo, Texas until the age of 7, and then move to what would be considered home in Mcallen, Texas.

1. What did you do this past week?

This past week, I met with my group to start on the final phase of the project. We finished the user stories quickly so that we can focus on fixing our website. I also finished with the the final individual project for CS439, which is relieving since that class produced 70% of my daily stress since the beginning of the semester. I also had enough time to do my homework from all my classes early, since I usually have to stay up late to finish.

This past week I finished the project for this phase with my teammates. I was in charge of the backend side of things and also responsible for the creation of the unit tests. I also did not go to class that often, mostly my morning classes since I stayed up from 11 pm on Monday until 7am Tuesday doing the unit test, even though it was due on Wednesday. That messed up my sleeping schedule for the whole week. …

This past week, my group and I started working on Phase 3 of the project. Since I am on the backend side of things, we decided to change the way we search things to become more accurate and efficient. I am also in charge of making the unittesting for the python code, so that is not too hard.

What did you do this past week?

I spent most of my time working on the semester long projects for my classes. For 373, I worked on learning Flask, Flask-Restless, and SQL-Alchemy as well as documenting and writing unit tests for the API with Postman.

What’s in your way?

For this class, phase 2 of the project comes with a lot of learning to do. There are many different ways to implement things, and each tutorial online does it in a slightly different way which makes it a bit more difficult.

What did you do this past week?

This past week, I spent most of time working with my group finishing our project. I am in charge of scraping all the information that we need for the backend side of the website. Since our scraping websites don’t have an API, I had to do everything by hand.

What’s in your way?

I have a lot of homework, CS 439 with all the weekly projects about threads which are very time consuming, and continue scraping. I also need to study about python for the exam.
